B4U Guidelines

All members at Board For Us are responsible for respecting the following rules:

No illegal content
If it's illegal, don't post it. No brainer.

No personal attacks
Personal attacks are defined as any comment made to single out a member and attack them based on their gender, sexuality, race, nationality, financial status, or health.

Addition as of August 12, 2011 via Community Feedback:
If a topic or post is made in which a member is a target of an insulting or otherwise inflammatory remark, that member may report the topic or post, stating the reason for their objection. If staff finds the reasoning to be valid, appropriate action will be taken.

No creation of multiple accounts
They're bad, 'mkay?

No Spam
While we don't mind the occasional plug, constant spamming will not be tolerated. Violations of this rule will result in the offending post(s) being edited or deleted, depending on severity.

Don't abuse the features of the site
These features are a privilege, not a right. Abuse 'em and lose 'em. For example, a member that uses the PM system to harass another member will lose their PM privileges.

Addition as of October 13, 2011- Privacy Protection Clause
Threads and posts that you read in restricted forums have an expectation of privacy and any threads, posts or content made outside those forums that contain information read there will be deleted and the offender may receive 5 warning points (1 year ban).

Ignore warnings at your own risk
Warnings lead to harsher punishments if members do not participate in corrective action.

Please note: These rules are subject to modification. Depending on the severity of circumstance, administration will give as much notice as possible before placing those modifications in effect.

We are a close knit community, and we value our friendship with each other over any set of written rules.

Therefore, if any behaviors results in widespread unrest within the community, the responsible member(s) will be temporarily restricted from participating. The length of the restriction will be determined on a case by case basis dependent on circumstances.

If there is no improvement upon return and the same behaviors continue, we will have no choice but to prohibit the member's participation in the site until such time as we can hold a good faith belief that member poses no further harm to the atmosphere of the community.

Any actions taken against a member for this reason are up for discussion between the membership as a whole; however the final decision will rest with site staff.
